தாய் மனம் - Mother's heart

உடலுள் ஒரு பாகமாய்
எனக்குள் வளர்ந்து - என்
உயிரின் நுண்ணுருவாய்
எந்தன் கைசேர்ந்தாய்

வயிற்றுள் புழுபோல்
வளைந்து நெளிந்தது
விந்தையாய் இன்று
வேலை பல செய்யுது

கோபத்தின் உச்சியில் நான்
மதியிழக்கும் நொடிக்கடுத்தே
கொஞ்சியெனை குளிர்விக்கும்
மாயம் நீயே அறிவாய்

ஆத்திகரின் வேண்டுதல்
அன்னை தந்தை ஆவதே
நாத்திகரும் கடவுள் காண்பர்
குழவி துயில் அழகிலே

உன் சிரிப்பு அழுகை வலி
பன்மடங்காய் நானுணர
உன் உணர்ச்சிமிகை காட்டும்
கண்ணாடியாய் சுயம் தொலைத்தேன்

Translation:
Having grown as a part of myself, you reached me as a miniature of my soul.

That which wriggled inside my tummy is surprising me with many actions.

After getting me insane with anger, you trick to cool me down with cuddles.

Theists wish to become parents. Even atheists feel God in a sleeping baby.

I feel your laughter, crying and pain manifold. I have lost myself being a mirror showing your feelings in amplification.

A simple ode

Atheists or Non believers - this is a post about Shirdi Sai Baba. So please read this if only you want to. Let us not start any altercation on this.

This has been in my bucket list for years - to write verses in adoration of Shirdi Sai Baba whom i have been worshipping from my M.E days. But Baba has blessed me with this opportunity only now. Though a believer, I was not a very staunch worshipper of any form of God for that matter till then. This connect - it just happened all of a sudden.  One can feel his invisible grip on every walk of life once the surrender to him is complete.

I have referred the book "Sai Sathcharithra" for coming up with these verses.

ஞானத் திருவுருவே மோனப் பெருங்கடலே

கானம் பாடிக் களித்து உன்னை

தியானம் செய்யும் வரமருள்வாய்

ஞாலத்தில் சுழன்றுழலும் எம்மை

ஞானத்திலே கரைத்திடுவாய்

பரப்பிரம்மம் உருவெடுத்து பாபா என்றானதோ

பல பாவம் தீர்த்தெம்மை பக்தியிலே கரைத்ததோ

பக்தி ஞானம் நாம் உணர லீலை பல புரிந்ததோ

பருவ மேகமாய் நம் மேல் அமுத மழை பொழிந்ததோ

பாபா தரிசனம் பாப விமோசனம்

அவர் நாமம் நல்கிடும் விவேகம் வைராக்யம்

எண்ணங்கள் மேன்மையாய் பக்தியில் திளைத்திடும்

காணுமிடமெல்லாம் அவர் திருவுருவம் காத்திடும் 

கண்காணா எண்ணங்கள் கண்டுகொள்ளும் கடவுள் நீ

முக்காலம் வடித்தெடுக்கும் மும்மூர்த்தி வடிவம் நீ

பல்லுயிருள் பரம்பொருளை கண்டுணர்ந்த யோகி நீ

எக்காலமும் எவ்விடமும் வாழும் சர்வவியாபி நீ

பிறப்பில்லா இறப்பில்லா பெருஞ்ஜோதியே

உமையன்றி எமக்கேது பிறிதோக் கதியே

உன் பாதம் தான் பற்ற தீரும் வினையே

அகக்கண்கள் திறப்பித்து ஞானம் தருவாய்

அஹங்காரம் அழிவித்து அறிவும் அருள்வாய்

புலனுணர்வு பொருளாசை பொசுங்கிட செய்வாய்

பாபா உம் லீலைக்கு கணக்கும் உண்டோ

உம் கருணை பார்வைக்கிணை சொற்கள் உண்டோ

உம் நாமம் விடவும் ஒரு சாதகம் உண்டோ

மறவோம் மறவோம்

This is a fast piece written today.  Can be labelled philosophical or spiritual.

Though these sort of ideas in me lack depth, i found it very meaningful to pen this down. May seem half baked to a spiritually great person. But still coming up with verses like these is my new found joy.

Hope it is relatable and evokes deep thoughts.

உடலென்னும் பாத்திரத்தில்
உலகுக்குள் நுழைகிறோம்
உடலன்று நான் என்ற
உண்மையை மறக்கிறோம்

பாத்திரத்தால் வந்த கதையில்
பல பாத்திரம் ஏற்கிறோம்
வரும் போகும் பாத்திரங்கள்
சொந்தமாக நினைக்கிறோம்

வந்த போதும் போகும் போதும்
கர்மமன்றி கையில் ஏதுமன்று
இடைப்பட்ட காலத்தில்
மேலும் கர்மம் சேர்க்கிறோம்

ஆணென்றும் பெண்னென்றும்
அரசனென்றும் ஆண்டியென்றும்
தமதென்றும் பிறரதென்றும்
மாயையிலே கிடக்கிறோம்

கதை முடிந்த பின்னே
கையிலேதும் நில்லாத போது
பொருளாசை பொறாமை
போட்டிகள் தான் ஏனோ

கதை முடியும் வரையிலே
கருணை அன்பு காட்டியே
கதை மாந்தர் மகிழவே
கதை வளர்ப்போம்  இனிமையாய்.

Lyric mania

Life has taken a steep turn, for the better. Am a stay at home mom now and experiencing joy, toil etc to the bits; and loving it.

This has revived my literary(!!!???) interests and i'm coming up with short poems, lyrics or write ups or whatever you call them, now and then.

The following two situations were given by my friend Viji. Whether the write ups do justice to the situations is left to you :-)

No bashing please.. Look at it only as a try from an amateur :-)

Situation 1:
Male version: this character is a desperate graduate, no vision of future but with spirit to do something. Four lines of youthful, confused, gonna win kinda song.

குழப்ப மேகங்கள் குலைக்க முயன்றாலும்
வெற்றிக் கதிர் வீசுதல் திண்ணம்
அஞ்சாமல் வீறுநடை போடுவேன் எந்நாளும்
பயணம் என்னை பலவிதம் பலமாக்கும்

Meaning:
Despite the clouds of doubts
Sunshine of victory is certain.
I will walk fearlessly everyday
in this journey which will strengthen me

Situation 2:
Old lady.. Resting, rejoicing her journey of life.. In a evening..

எத்தனை மாலைகள் இதுபோலே
இனிதே காண்பேன் இனிமேலே
கருணை காதல்அன்பு என
கனிந்து நின்றேன் கதவருகே
கடவுள் கூப்பிடும் நொடியினிலே
கடந்து போவேன் வான்மேலே
அவன் காலடியதனில் இளைப்பாறி
கரைந்து போக வழி கேட்பேன்

How many more such evenings
Am i going to experience joyfully..
With kindness and love
I stand ripened near the door (of my life)..
When God beckons
I will fly towards the sky...
I will rest in his foot
And ask him the way to become one with him.
